What is true in 2026, and what is only talk
- There is no "UP Ladli Behna" or monthly cash for all women. Pages offering a form for one are not official.
- The widow pension is still ₹1,000 a month. The Chief Minister said in September 2026 that pensions will be raised soon, but no order has been issued. Websites saying "₹1,500 from 1 April" are wrong.
- Free roadways buses every day are only for women over 60, under a scheme the state cabinet approved on 25 August 2026. Other women rode free only around Raksha Bandhan.
- An interest-free credit plan for self-help group women (₹20,000, then ₹30,000, then ₹50,000) was announced on 10 September 2026 but has not been approved yet. There is nothing to apply for, so never pay anyone for a form.
- UP pays no unemployment allowance. Sites offering a "UP Berojgari Bhatta 2026" form are not official.
An Assembly election is due in early 2027, so expect more announcements. We list a scheme as open only once there is an order or an official page to apply on.
Jobs: registration, skills and the women's quota
- Register free on Rojgaar Sangam (rojgaarsangam.up.gov.in) for job fairs, campus placements and apprenticeship links.
- Take a free UPSDM course with a certificate and placement help. 30% of training targets are set aside for women.
- Claim the women's quota in government job forms. UP keeps 20% of posts in direct recruitment for women who are permanent residents of UP. The domicile certificate must be from your father's side.
- If you work in a traditional trade or your district's ODOP product, ask about free training with ₹200 a day and a free toolkit.
